Guardian Introduces ecoAnchor®: A Portable, Non-Penetrating Roof Anchor
Designed for Simpler, Safer Work at Height

PASADENA, TX— August 5, 2026 — Height safety leader, Guardian, a leading provider of fall protection and height safety equipment, is proud to introduce the ecoAnchor® mobile roof anchor, an innovative, water-filled deadweight anchor engineered to deliver reliable fall protection while simplifying transportation, installation, and rooftop mobility.

Designed for contractors, facility maintenance professionals, and roofing crews, the ecoAnchor® eliminates the need to drill into roof surfaces while providing a secure, portable anchorage solution for low-slope applications. This lightweight anchor weighs just 18 pounds when empty, folds down for convenient transport and storage, and can be filled on-site in approximately 10 minutes, reducing the burden of moving heavy equipment to elevated work areas.

"At Guardian, we're focused on making height safety easier without compromising performance," said Mel Moss, Director of Marketing at Guardian. "The ecoAnchor gives contractors a practical, reusable solution that minimizes installation time, protects roof integrity, and helps crews stay productive on the job."

Unlike traditional roof anchors that require penetration of the substrate, the ecoAnchor®’s non-penetrating design is compatible with a wide variety of low-slope roofing materials including concrete, EPDM, mineralized felt, tarmac, and felt-and-chippings surfaces.

    Key Features & Benefits

    • Design – Lightweight when empty with an integrated carrying case for easy transportation and storage.
    • Fast Installation – Fills in approximately 10 minutes using a standard ¾-inch garden hose , and features a built-in ventilation valve to maintain proper pressure.
    • Non-Penetrating Protection – Helps preserve roof integrity by eliminating the need to drill into roofing systems.
    • Durable Construction – Manufactured from puncture- and fire-resistant nylon-reinforced neoprene for demanding job site conditions and increased longevity.
    • Versatile Applications – Suitable as a single-point anchor for personal fall arrest or as part of a compatible horizontal lifeline (HLL) system.
    • Built for Compliance – Meets OSHA 1910.140 and 1926.502 requirements and has been tested in an ISO 17025 accredited laboratory.

The ecoAnchor® features a swiveling, stainless-steel anchor point, integrated fill-and-drain valve, and positioning label that helps ensure proper downslope installation for efficient draining after use. It supports workers weighing 100–310 pounds (including tools and equipment) and is designed for roofs up to a 1:12 (5°) pitch.

With its combination of portability, ease of use, and dependable performance, the ecoAnchor® provides contractors with a smarter solution for temporary rooftop anchorage - helping crews spend less time setting up equipment and more time completing the job safely.
