Guardian Fall Protection Fall Clearance Safety Margin Change - US

Guardian Fall Protection has reduced the fall clearance safety margin from 3 feet to 2 feet.

Effective immediately, Guardian Fall Protection has reduced the fall clearance safety margin on all products from 3 feet to 2 feet. Guardian Fall Protection products whose instructions currently require a 3-foot safety margin are also included in this change. This change was made to better align with the ANSI Z359 Fall Protection Code standard which requires that, "The [safety] margin for rigid anchors...shall be not less than 2.0 feet." 

Important: Guardian Fall Protection recommends a 2-foot safety margin when calculating fall clearance. However, employers or other local safety requirements may require an increased safety margin. In those instances, always adhere to the stricter of the safety margins to ensure complaince with local regulations.
