EDU-175 Dropped Object Prevention Awareness
Intended as a brief introduction to the hazards of dropped objects, this course covers the basics of the dropped objects problem as well as fundamentals of how to prevent dropped tools. Students will learn about the real cost of dropped objects and simple things that can be done to prevent them. Basic dropped object prevention supplies will also be introduced.

- Physics of a Dropped Tool
- Relevant Regulations and Requirements
- Categories and Definitions
- Pairing and Wearing
- Load Cell Demonstration
- The proper use and inspection of Stronghold drop prevention solutions

Successful completion of EDU-175 Confined Space Awareness comes with the following certifications of accreditation.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion, the students will be able to demonstrate knowledge of the following topics:
- Understand the hazards of dropped tools and the potential financial impacts.
- Explain the effect of impact force and how it relates to the length of the lanyard and material.
- Classify the various types of lanyards and the benefits of each.
- Recall the general safety considerations of using a lanyard.
- Recognize the general purpose of the core dropped objects products.
