From work at height and rescue to first aid, why not develop your skills in our state-of-the-art facility? Offering everything from hands-on experience to classroom sessions, we can fulfill your requirements.
At 22 metres (72 feet), our training tower is a great place to hone your skills.
The platform is accessed by ladder and can accommodate up to four users and is equipped with over 40 different connection points for rigging, abseiling and training. Two escape hatches have been built into the platform to simulate wind turbine evacuations.
Designed to allow a multitude of disciplines ranging from telecoms rigging and tower crane rescue, the tower is testament to our commitment, to provide the very best training facilities possible.
Just outside the gated high access area of the Tower, there is a safe zone for practical Fire Awareness training.
We use live flames in a controlled environment. This area is used for the practical elements of Fire Risk training.
Directly under our main classroom area lies over 30 metres of tunnels, with split level changes, 3.5m access ladder and controlled smoke simulation.
Once inside the tunnel the environment can be altered to make the experience for the delegates.
Offering low to medium risk confined space training, this is a mentally and physically challenging course delivered by industry experts, some of whom are ex Fire Service.
We have two classrooms, with good break facilities, air conditioning and completely self-contained. Each one is equipped with display screens and refreshments.
New in April 2022 is our indoor training facility, providing GWO advanced rescue and work at height based around a mock nacelle and access ladders, confined space and industrial rescue training all under cover from the elements. Watch this space for future announcements.
Our sea survival training courses are held at The Maritime Skills Academy, Viking Campus, Dover, Kent CT16 2FG. Using real life maritime rescue aids and devices, the indoor swimming pool becomes the hub for the GWO sea survival training.
Once you’re into the water, you’ll get to experience the leading maritime facilities we have to offer including:
