Guardian recently celebrated the significant expansion and achievements of its renewed Headquarters in Houston, Texas via a “Lift-off” Grand Opening event. The celebration, which included the local team and company leadership, acknowledged this important milestone in company history, and is the result of months of focus and effort to launch a 360-degree Height Safety Center that is unique in the industry.
Building on the company’s announcement in October 2021, Guardian has proudly completed its various investments. A fully staffed team of engineers, program managers, and product managers along with a brand-new, state-of-the art testing facility and team of safety experts add to the already established, industry-leading Training Academy.
CEO, Jeff Ward comments, “The concept behind this renewal takes Guardian forward at every level. Our Global HQ in Houston was at 10% capacity through the pandemic and this renewal takes us to 95%. We have built an
exciting new product development team driven by end user insights. This dynamic team is now supported with all the tools to make safe even safer: new 3D printing and prototyping capabilities; a new world class ISO 17025
testing laboratory that exceeds required standards; and significant training and production expansion and efficiency. We have a very exciting pipeline of unique products to launch over the next 12-18 months.”
Guardian has also moved its self-retracting lifeline production into the Houston facility as well as added an onsite print shop. SVP of Operations, Derek Grant, says “I am thrilled to have two specialized facilities in Houston
– one focused on soft goods and one focused on mechanical production. Our mechanical production department has added a world-class printing operation for onsite labelling which will continue to improve our customer
lead times and service levels. We are proud to assemble and test premium products here in the USA. Adding to that advantage, we can also customize products with even quicker turnaround to satisfy specific customer needs.”
With the Grand Opening now complete, Guardian looks forward to welcoming its customers and end users to demonstrate its 360-degree commitment to Height Safety. SVP Sales & Services, Jeff Wilder comments, “It is really
special that our customer partners can now visit a unique Height Safety Center for a truly unrivalled experience. They can deeply understand in one visit how height safety products are designed, tested, made, presented, and
trained.”
