This is the combined GWO ART which includes all four modules covering rescue and single rescuer in the hub, spinner, inside blades, nacelle, tower and basement sections of a wind turbine.

A GWO ART (Advanced Rescue Training) combined course includes. 

  1. Hub, Spinner and Inside Blade Rescue (HSIBR) 
  2. Nacelle, Tower and Basement Rescue (NTBR) 
  3. Single Rescuer: Hub, Spinner and Inside Blade Rescue (SR:HSIBR) 
  4. Single Rescuer: Nacelle, Tower and Basement Rescue (SR:NTBR) 

These courses can also be provided as separate modules as follows, please enquire for details and availability: 

  1. HSIBR, duration 1 Day: Valid for 2 years 
  2. NTBR, duration 2 Days: Valid for 2 years 

Course Objectives:

Delegates completing a GWO ART (Advanced Rescue Training) combined course will be able to. : 

  • Safely access the hub, spinner, inside blade, nacelle, tower and basement section of a wind turbine to get to an injured person 
  • Perform entry-type casualty rescue operations in a wind turbine generator 
  • Correctly use industry standards rescue equipment and methods 
  • Understand and demonstrate rescue techniques that exceed those of GWO Working at Height 

Prerequisites:

  • GWO Working at Height certificate
  • GWO First Aid certificate
  • GWO Manual Handling certificate

Participants Will Receive:

  • Certificate lasting 2 years 
  • Direct support from the Guardian training team and Guardian Fall customer service

Important Information:

Health: 

All personnel participating in Safety Training shall be medically fit and capable of fully participating. Delegates will be required to sign a statement stating that they are medically fit to participate in safety training and that they do not suffer from any medical illness or are under the influence of any narcotic substance or alcohol. 

Equipment: 

  • Suitable clothing for training at height
  • Safety boots 
  • Any work at height PPE if in possession and within valid statutory inspection 
  • Guardian to provide helmets and gloves
