A Low Risk Confined Space is defined as ‘shallow entry with adequate natural or mechanical ventilation, where access is simple and unobstructed and there is no risk of flooding.

A Medium Risk Confined Space exists where there are access issues and a realistic expectation of encountering a Specified Risk (fire or explosion, overheating, asphyxiation, drowning).
