Work At Height & Practical Application
The ‘must have’ course for all those who work at height on a regular basis. The course is suitable for all industries, being a mixture of theory and practical, the practical element being based on your workplace environment and day-to-day work activities.

Location: Guardian Sheerness or On-Site
Certificate Validity: 3 Years
To give the delegates the required theoretical knowledge and practical skills to be able to work at height safely including working on rooftops, work platforms leading edges and fixed access ladders.
The course can be delivered on site, providing minimum theory and practical facilities are available, or at the Guardian training centre in Kent.
Course Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this course, delegates will be able to demonstrate:
- The general Health & Safety duties of employers and employees in the workplace
- The basics of the Work at Height Regulations 2005 and other legislation related to work at height
- The fundamental principles of fall protection, including the ‘hierarchy of controls’
- What a restraint system is, its components, uses, limitations and potential hazards
- Hazards associated with working at height
- The importance of inspection, care and maintenance of fall protection equipment
- Emergency considerations, including the potential dangers of suspension in a harness
Participants Will Receive:
- Certificate lasting 3 years
- Direct support from the Guardian training team and Guardian Fall customer service
Important Information:
Health:
All personnel participating in Safety Training shall be medically fit and capable of fully participating. Delegates will be required to sign a statement stating that they are medically fit to participate in safety training and that they do not suffer from any medical illness or are under the influence of any narcotic substance or alcohol
Equipment:
- Suitable clothing for outdoor training at height
- Safety boots
- Gloves
- Any work at height PPE will be provided
