The Guardian Training Academy, already a UK leader in height safety, rescue and confined space training, now has an additional brand new, state-of-the-art indoor facility. This expansion allows existing and new customers an indoor alternative to protect against the elements as well as offering, increased variety of training scenarios and times.
The new facility features a replicated wind turbine nacelle that includes hub, spinner and blade sections in addition to different levels and hatches to manoeuvre through, and an active roof area for over edge rescue and evacuation. The structures, uniquely designed by the Guardian team, has also allowed Guardian to add the Global Wind Organisation (GWO) Advanced Rescue Training (ART) module as a new course offering, in the company’s already robust training curriculum options.
This indoor addition, combined with its recently refurbished classrooms and new fleet of vans introduced in 2022, represent Guardian’s significant commitment to UK training and 360-degree height safety. UK Training Manager Barry Phillips says, “Our training team is excited to offer these extended benefits to existing and new clients. Guardian’s investment in our UK Training team means a lot and symbolises our strong performance even through the recent challenges of Covid where we proudly continued to support our customers with their unique requirements.”
CEO Jeff Ward says, “Our training team and their approach towards training is second to none. Our research continues to show that most workers at height find advice and equipment options daunting and complex. Our commitment and investment in training is a great example of how we can help simplify height safety and reduce the number of deaths and serious accidents.”
The Guardian UK Training Academy is accredited by GWO for all Basic Safety Training (BST) course modules, including Enhanced First Aid (EFA) and Advanced Rescue Training (ART).
